Come Build a Better World with Library Staff this summer by joining the 2017 Summer Reading Program! Online registration begins May 22! Participants may begin logging in their reading minutes on Monday, June 5 through Saturday, July 22. Parents who read to children ages 0-5 and kids who read at least two hours per week can win weekly book prizes. Teens ages 11-18 who read a minimum of four hours per week can win weekly book prizes too!
Be sure to come in to the Library after registering online to pick up your Summer Reading program book bag! The Youth Services calendars are on the Cottonwood Public Library website but a copy will be included in your bag. Besides our regularly scheduled Youth Services activities, there are Build a Better World activities for the Tinys, Juveniles and Teens each week.
On Tuesday, July 25 from 3:00-5:00pm, Youth Services will host an End of the Summer Reading Program Party for all participants. The musical duo, Sticks and Tones will perform and there will be raffle prizes for participants.
Top readers who have achieved the most number of reading minutes in each age category will be invited to a Pool Party at the Recreation Center. The Tiny Tots and Juveniles Pool Party will be on Wednesday, July 26 from 2;00-4:00pm. The Teen Pool Party will be on Thursday, July 27 from 2:00-4:00pm.
